The Staff
The Fire Department is divided into four groups (Group I -IV) who work a rotating work schedule of 24 hours on, 24 hours off, 24 hours on and 120 hours off. All full-time Firefighters are at least emergency medical technicians and have attended the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Basic Recruit Academy Course, which leads to a NFPA Firefighter I/II certification. Full-time Firefighters are represented by the IAFF (International Association of Firefighters, Local 1893) and the PFFM (Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts) Click highlighted names below for that person's profile.
