A box alarm was struck for a fire in the rooftop heating unit at the Oregon Club Restaurant. The propane fed fire was knocked down quickly by Group-1 Engine-2. Hopkinton Fire provided an engine company to cover the Ashland station due to limited manpower.
Upon arrival fire was showing from the roof of the building.
A view from the Bravo side of the building shows the rooftop unit involved in fire.
The fire started when the pipe that fed propane to the unit broke, allowing the highly flammable gas to flow freely.
Engine-2 arrived and stretched a 2 inch preconnected hose line and established a water supply.
Tower-1 arrived with off-duty and part time personnel
